Muslims Attack Sewa Bharti Office in Agra, Bharat Mata Statue Vandalised, Thirteen Injured

The attack was a revenge attack after swayamsevaks asked some Muslims not to consume alcohol at the Radha Krishna mandir which is just in front of the Sewa Bharti office.

Late night on Sunday (December 26), local Muslims attacked the Sewa Bharti office in Agra. Thirteen swayamsevaks are injured, out of which two are critical. In the Motimahal area in Agra, Rashtriya Sewa Bharti office Dr. Hedgewar Study Centre is located. There is a Radha Krishna mandir in front of the office.

Some local Muslim youths regularly consume alcohol in the temple. On Sunday (December 26), when some Muslim youths were consuming alcohol, some swayamsevaks asked them not to consume alcohol in the temple. Collecting their alcohol bottles, they left the place.

Late at night, about 80 Muslim youths attacked the Sewa Bharti office. Swayamsevaks Vikas Gupta and Shivam Kumar have sustained serious injuries. The rioters vandalized the statue of the Bharat Mata in the premises of the office.

As soon as the news of the attack spread, MLAs Yogendra Upadhyay, Mahesh Goyal, and Purushottam Khandelwal reached the spot. The police were immediately informed about the attack. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Agra, Sudhir Kumar assured that immediate action will be taken against the culprits. Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered in the case.
