A Hindu man was beaten to death by a mob over allegations of blasphemy in Mymensingh’s Bhaluka Upazila on Thursday night, police reported. The incident occurred in the Dubalia Para area of Square Master Bari.
Another Hindu minority victim in Bangladesh. In Mymensingh’s Bhaluka upazila, Dipu Chandra Das (30) was lynched by a mob for saying, “All religions are equal and God is one, known by different names.”

The deceased has been identified as Dipu Chandra Das, a young man who worked at a local garment factory and was living in the area as a tenant. According to Bhaluka Police Station Duty Officer Ripon Mia, a crowd accused him of making derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), attacked him around 9 pm, and beat him to death. The attackers then tied his body to a tree and set it on fire.
Police rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control. Dipu Chandra Das’s body was later recovered and sent to the morgue of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
